Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Environmental Education Researcher who combines analytical skills with visual communication abilities. This person will be responsible for developing educational content and transforming it into clear, engaging, and accessible materials for children aged 5-13 and young people aged 14-18, using Canva as the primary tool.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and conduct environmental education research (literature review, field studies, data analysis).
- Develop educational guides and teaching materials for our partners in Uganda.
- Design brochures, infographics, and other visual resources in Canva.
- Translate complex sustainability and environmental concepts into clear and visually appealing content for children.
- Collaborate with education and communication teams to develop campaigns and training programs.
- Support the evaluation of the impact of educational programs.
Required Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Education, Environmental Science, Pedagogy, or related fields.
- Demonstrable experience in research (academic or applied).
- Proficiency in design tools, especially Canva.
- Excellent writing and summarization skills.
- Ability to adapt content for children and young adults.
- Good level of English.
- Interest in and commitment to environmental and sustainability issues.

Terms and Conditions:
This position is to join our volunteer team; therefore, it is not a paid position. Our volunteers are expected to commit to working remotely for 2 hours daily from Monday to Friday with occasional visits during events. Ideally, our organization seeks volunteers who wish to become part of it long-term; however, applications for unpaid internships are also welcome. Please indicate in your cover letter which option suits you best.
The minimum duration for both internships and volunteer work is 6 months.
