Third Forum on Environment and Climate Change
Friday 26th, and Saturday 27th of June
Embrace the Earth invites researchers, graduate students, teachers, representatives of environmental organisations, and people from indigenous communities, to participate as speakers on the Third Forum on Environment and Climate Change.
The aim is to share and exchange the latest insights, practices and/or global environmental problems. We welcome contributions from Black, LGBTQIA+, disabled and working class presenters.
The event will be held virtually on Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th of June, 2026.
We invite presentations on the following topics:
Interested presenters should send an abstract of no more than 300 words on the topic of their presentation in the form below. The deadline for entries is 11:59 pm on May 31st, 2026.
All entries will be subject to evaluation and selection by the organisers of the event. Selected presenters will be notified by June 3rd, 2026. After that date, the selected speakers will have approximately four weeks to prepare.
Presenters will receive a certificate of participation.
Guidelines for the presentation:
- The presentation must adhere to the topics of the forum and all referenced numbers and data must be clearly indicated with the source
- Presenters must prepare a slide with supporting tables, figures, maps or graphs
- References must be included at the end of the presentation
- The presentations must be between 30-45 minutes in length, followed by a maximum of 15 minutes for a Q&A
- The presenter permits the dissemination of their presentation on the different Embrace the Earth communication channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and the organisation's website)
- The selected presenters must send a summary of their profile to the organisers of the event (on) before the (stipulated) agreed date of presentation
- The presenter shares their presentation slides/materials with the event organisers 3 days before the event.
